Near Stroud, in the heart of the Cotswolds, we draw inspiration from a landscape rich with craft and heritage.

We are located on the top floor of St Mary’s Mill, a beautifully situated mill house dating back to around 1820, once home to a walking stick factory. St Mary’s Mill sits on an unnamed road just off the A419 at St Mary’s, Chalford. Please note that we can be a little tricky to find on your first visit. Sat Navs will usually bring you close, but often direct drivers to Hampton Lane – if you find yourself there, please do not drive down this lane, as it is a narrow single track with no turning space.

We are one lane closer to Stroud. Look for an unnamed single-track road with a metal railing along the roadside. When travelling from the Cirencester/Chalford direction, take the next left after Hampton Lane, just before the sharp right-hand bend. As you drive down the lane, you’ll come to a manned railway crossing. If the gates are closed, please get out and press the bell for the crossing keeper to open them. Only cross (in either direction) once both gates are fully open.

After crossing the railway, drive down into the car park and find a space. The entrance to the mill is on the left-hand side as you face the building, and we are located on the top floor.

For safety and ease of access, we recommend that you only turn into the lane when approaching from the Chalford direction. If you are coming from Stroud, continue past the turning and find a safe place to turn around, so you can approach from the Chalford side.
